BGSU defenseman Shea named hockey league's defenseman of week

BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green State University senior defenseman Bobby Shea was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's defenseman of the week, the league announced today.

Shea had a pair of assists, including an assist on the game-winning goal, in the Falcons' 4-1 win over Lake Superior State on Friday. He then added two assists in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Lakers.

Shea also had six blocks and finished +4 on the weekend as BG earned its first sweep over a CCHA opponent since 2008.
