    YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Bowling Green State University football team defeated Eastern Michigan 58-7 at Rynearson Stadium today.

    The Falcons, who improved to 8-3 overall and 6-1 in the Mid-American Conference, posted 560 yards of total offense. Travis Green ran for 126 yards and a pair of TDs, while Ronnie Moore caught three touchdown passes from Matt Johnson.

    Meanwhile the BG defense allowed just 65 yards of total offense to the Eagles (2-9, 1-6), who scored their lone touchdown on an interception return.

    THIRD QUARTER

    The Bowling Green State University football team leads Eastern Michigan 51-7 after three quarters.

    The Falcons, who have scored 17 points in each quarter, got a 29-yard field goal by Tyler Tate, his third of the day, sandwiched around two touchdowns. Travis Greene scored on a two-yard run, his second score of the day, and Will Watson picked up a Brogan Roback fumble and raced 37 yards for a TD.

    Through three quarters Eastern Michigan has just 40 yards of total offense, including just four passing yards, while BG has 456 yards, including 264 passing.

     

    HALFTIME

    The Falcons scored two touchdowns and a field goal in the second quarter as Tyler Tate connected on a 34-yard field goal, his second of the game.

    Travis Greene scored on a 28-yard run and Ronnie Moore caught his third TD pass of the contest, this a 34-yard strike from Matt Johnson.

    Meanwhile the BG defense has allowed just 33 yards of total offense, including just four yards passing. EMU's lone touchdown came on an interception return in the first quarter.

     

    FIRST QUARTER

    The Bowling Green State University football team leads Eastern Michigan 17-7 after the first quarter.

    Falcons quarterback Matt Johnson has hooked up with receiver Ronnie Moore for a pair of touchdowns, one covering 74 yards and the other 22.

    Tyler Tate also made a 30-yard field goal into the wind.

    Eastern Michigan's touchdown came when Sean Kurtz intercepted a Johnson pass and returned it 10 yards for a score.
