20 North Gallery fills with fun for holidays

12/6/2001

Paintings, prints, drawings, jewelry, glass, and vintage pieces were on display at a Holiday Open House presented by 20 North Gallery Artists Nov. 29. Guests sipped wine and nibbled tidbits as they wandered through studios. The artists - Leslie Adams, Claire Kirsner, Carol Imes-Luscombe, John Luscombe, Elaine Mickel, Janine Ody, Paula Tuschman, and Kay Weprin - joined in the fun.

Doug Wright is still talking about the 104th running of the Melbourne Cup Nov. 6 in Australia. He attended the horse race with his sister and brother-in-law, Margot and Bert Hoffman, former Toledoans who now live in Melbourne.

  • The Paddock Mansion in the Old West End, the home of Richard Enk and Gene Roach, had a special sparkle Friday night. It was the rehearsal dinner for John Gaynor and Michelle Pearce, who were married Saturday at Rosary Cathedral. The dinner was extra special, as Mr. Gaynor's father, Skip Gaynor, and Skip Gaynor's wife, Judy Stone, held their wedding reception there in 1998. The bride is the daughter of Mick and Gloria Pearce of Bradner.

  • The Study Hour Club Holiday Luncheon had a patriotic flair Saturday at the Pinnacle. Between Christmas carols everyone joined in for a round of “America the Beautiful,” “God Bless America,” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
