The weather was breezy and just right for the Toledo Club's Party in the Parking Lot XXIV on July 15. More than 1,500 tickets were sold, and a steady line was at the entrance through 10 p.m.

Volunteering at the event were folks from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Toledo, which was the beneficiary for the night. Kirk Mizerek, chairman of the club's social and entertainment committee, and Henry Herschel were co-chairmen.

Tickets were sold to purchase beverages and spirited drinks and delicious food prepared by Executive Chef Mike Rosendaul and his staff. The tasty assortment included ribs, hummus and veggies, chicken kabobs, and more.

Models strutted the stage as part of the entertainment. They were EPIC of Toledo's The Blade Top 10 Runway Rivalry Model Contestants.

The opening act -- the Homewreckers band -- drew a big crowd of fans, many dancing in front of the stage. Then Naked Karate Girls, a professional touring Las Vegas style dance-rock show band, played the night away, encouraging audience participation as part of the fun.
