Party goers celebrate at the Toledo Club for New Year's Eve.

Bidding the old 2012 good-bye and welcoming in the New Year was a quiet time for many who stayed home or had small house parties. But many folks ventured out about town to country clubs, restaurants, and banquet halls. Fancy dinners with shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque, lamb chops, and more, topped with decadent desserts were a treat for many. Music, dancing, and spirits filled the night with excitement.

Best wishes for health, happiness, and prosperity in the New Year.

The Johnny Knorr Orchestra, led by Jerry Knorr, rang in the New Year with a champagne toast, the countdown by Ragtime Rick and Dennis Williams , and to the tune of Guy Lombardo’s Auld Lang Syne.

Owners of LaScola Restaurant Gus and Cheryl Nicolaidis with The Dance Clinic’s Matthew and Adrianne Miller joined forces with The Hungry I to host Unforgetable New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance at Greystone Hall in Perrysburg. The evening featured food and dancing.

Faye Mancy-Francis and her bridge group were at her son’s restaurant, Mancy’s Steakhouse, on New Year's Eve.

The Toledo Club had something for everyone: an early dinner, a dinner with the Jeff McDonald Band followed by a gala with Distant Cousinz band, or a late night celebration with a champagne toast and noisemakers.

Eyes Wide Shut: A Masquerade Ball at The Blarney Bullpen was hosted by Dustin Rybka along with several local businesses. He loves Toledo, alas, he is moving to Chicago for a new job. The night included a balloon drop and champagne toast, fortune tellers, desserts and confections, and many giveaways.
