A West Toledo hair salon was robbed Wednesday night, police said.
A man walked into the salon, ABP Beauty Care, 3812 W. Alexis Ave., just before 9 p.m., and demanded cash from a stylist and a teenage customer.
The stylist told the suspect she had no money, but the suspect started going through drawers and then took a wallet from the client, 17, police said.
The man took $8 from the girl's wallet and then took a metal box from the salon, which had about $100 inside, according to a Toledo police report.
It's unclear if the suspect had a weapon.
Police describe the man as white, in his 40s, about 6 feet, 180 pounds, with salt-and-pepper hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a green button-up short-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and black work boots. Police said the man is "unshaven."
