Kevin Shorter scored 24 points and Dajuan Tate and Kevin Thomas had 23 each for Owens (26-4) against the Siena Heights junior varsity.

LOUISVILLE: Louisville's leading rebounder Ellis Myles had knee surgery and will miss the rest of the season. The 6-8 junior forward ruptured his right patella tendon, and coach Rick Pitino said Myles may never play college basketball again.

Myles was averaging 7.9 rebounds and was one of the team's best passers.

He was injured while going for a rebound late in Thursday night's loss to Marquette.

Louisville is also facing an NCAA inquiry of senior center Marvin Stone and his ties to an AAU team in the late 1990s. Stone practiced yesterday but his status for the rest of the season remained uncertain.
