Texas back to No. 2 in AP poll, BCS

NEW YORK - Texas is back to No. 2 in the AP college football poll and in the latest BCS standings.

The Longhorns jumped idle Alabama and landed right behind top-ranked Florida yesterday, the day after winning 41-14 at Oklahoma State.

Florida is first in both the BCS and AP poll after a convincing 41-17 win over Georgia.

Ohio State moved up to 15th in the AP poll and is 16th in the BCS.

Iowa is fourth in the BCS, but eighth in the AP. Cincinnati and Boise State round out the top five in the AP while the Bearcats are fifth in the BCS and the Broncos seventh. Unbeaten TCU is sixth in both rankings.

Oregon moved up to eighth in the BCS and seventh in the AP after pounding Southern California 47-20.

Ninth through 12th in both the AP and BCS are the same with LSU, Georgia Tech, Penn State, and USC. LSU travels to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama in Saturday's biggest game while Penn State will host Ohio State.

Houston checks in at 13th in the AP and 15th in the BCS while Pittsburgh is 14th in the AP and 13th in the BCS. Utah is 14th in the BCS and 17th in the AP.

Notre Dame is 19th in the AP and 22nd in the BCS.
