COLUMBUS — Braxton Miller remained in tight pursuit of the Heisman Trophy the first nine weeks primarily because of his legs.

On Saturday against Illinois, he did so with his arm.

The sophomore quarterback completed 12 of 20 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns as the sixth-ranked Buckeyes remained perfect with 52-22 victory over Illinois at Ohio Stadium.

The Buckeyes took a 7-3 lead with a 10-play, 79-yard touchdown drive capped by Carlos Hyde’s 3-yard touchdown run, and continued to pile on with five straight scoring drives. Hyde rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns.
