ANN ARBOR — One player that seems unlikely to return this season is wide receiver Tarik Black.

The freshman suffered a broken foot against Air Force in Michigan’s third game of the season. And if he isn’t able to play again this year, Jim Harbaugh said the Wolverines will pursue a medical redshirt.

In three games, Black was Michigan’s best wide receiver. He caught 11 passes for 149 yards and one touchdown.

"I'm not going to go into the crystal ball on that," Harbaugh said when asked about Black’s status. "Just letting the doctors make those decisions, and report back when I have that information."

Without Black, Michigan’s leading receiver is tight end Sean McKeon. The wide receivers have struggled with inconsistency all season. Last week against Maryland, the wide receivers caught one pass.
