    Notes: The Falcons look to extend their four-game home winning streak. … Akron won the first meeting of these two teams, when Virshon Cotton made a 3-pointer with 3.7 seconds left in an 80-78 victory Jan. 13 at James A. Rhodes Arena. The Zips have won 17 of the past 18 meetings of the two schools, with BG’s lone win a 66-65 victory at the Stroh Center on Feb. 21 of last season. … Akron has lost six of its past seven games and is 0-7 in MAC road games this season. … Sophomore Daniel Utomi leads the Zips in scoring (15.5 points) and rebounding (5.6 rebounds), while Oregon State transfer Malcolm Duvivier adds 15.0 points per contest. … Akron is tied with Buffalo for the MAC lead in 3s made with 9.8 per game. … Bowling Green needs a win to maintain its spot as the No. 4 seed in the MAC tournament.
