A Perrysburg woman accused of setting a fire that did $600,000 damage to an apartment complex was bound over to a Wood County grand jury Thursday.

Chelsie Smothers, 19, who lived at the Perry Lake Village Apartments where the fire was set, waived her preliminary hearing in Perrysburg Municipal Court. Charged with aggravated arson, she posted $50,000 bond Sunday and was released from the Wood County jail.

Many residents were displaced by the fire. It seriously damaged eight of the 24 apartments in the building where the fire began.
