Bond was set at $1 million each Monday morning for the two men charged with the death of a 71-year-old Toledo man last week.

Kenneth Anderson, 29, and Thomas Johnson, 21, are charged with one count each of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

Anderson requested a continuance and was scheduled to reappear in Toledo Municipal Court Tuesday at 9 a.m. Johnson, who kept his head down the entire time, is to be in court for a preliminary hearing tomorrow. Johnson originally was charged only with tampering with evidence.

“We determined [Johnson] was more involved than we initially thought … with supplying the weapon and getting rid of it,” said Toledo police Sgt. Tim Noble.

Charles Harris, Jr., known by many as “Chuck A Luck,” was shot twice in the head around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday outside the garage in an alley near Nebraska Avenue where Mr. Harris stored his lawn-care equipment.
