Abusive head trauma ruled in child’s death
6/13/2011The Lucas County Coroner’s Office has released a ruling in the death of a 3-year-old who authorities say was shaken to death.
Authorities say Joshua Cox, 3, of Perrysburg Township died March 26 of abusive head trauma. Ronald Pheils, 18, of Hufford Road in Perrysburg Township is accused of causing the death of the child by violently shaking him March 26 in the boy’s home.
He was indicted on a count of reckless homicide and was being held in the Wood County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
