Bond set at $1 million for man accused of running over, killing Toledoan

Geoffrey Dupuis is arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court Monday.
Charged with murder and clad in an brown jumpsuit, Geoffrey Dupuis, 47, was arraigned Monday in Toledo Municipal Court.
Judge Robert Christiansen set bond for Mr. Dupuis, who was in a wheelchair, at $1 million. He will appear in court again June 20 at 9 a.m.
Mr. Dupuis is accused of running over Randall York, 55, of West Toledo, late Saturday night at a Speedway gas station at Secor and Laskey roads. Mr. York was dragged 63 feet under the minivan driven by Mr. Dupuis.

Police have said that Mr. York tried to stop the minivan from leaving after Mr. Dupuis’ son, Jacob Dupuis, 18, allegedly punched a gas station patron. The Dupuis men tried to leave the gas station, but Mr. York stood in front of the van to keep them from leaving.
The younger Dupuis was arraigned on a misdemeanor assault charge in Toledo Municipal Court Monday. His bond was set at $5,000.
