2 Toledoans sentenced for roles in robberies

Two of the six men involved in a series of area robberies have been sentenced to prison.

Kyle Day, 22, of 116 Everett St. was sentenced Friday to seven years in prison by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Ruth Ann Franks, who also ordered him to pay restitution of $120 to Douglas Gabinski and $40 to Little Caesars Pizza, 3145 Lagrange St. Day pleaded guilty last month to one count of robbery.

Steven Born, 22, of 3020 Isha Laye Way also pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and was sentenced by Judge Franks to five years in prison and ordered to pay restitution of $803 to Cottage Inn Pizza, 240 West Alexis Rd., $270 to Red Roof Inn, 3530 Executive Pkwy., $146 to Subway, 20 East Alexis Rd., and $199 to True North/Shell, 5473 Monroe St.

The final defendant in the case, Colton Webster, 18, of 8820 Cedar Bend, is to be sentenced July 11.
