A Toledo man was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday on a charge of robbery in the holdup of a PNC branch at 1831 West Laskey Rd. last month.

David M. Dearing, 39, of 833 Vinton St., was arrested by members of the FBI violent crimes task force on June 16, the day after the bank was robbed.

According to the indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Toledo, the robber fled the bank after receiving $579 from a cashier, whom he had allegedly threatened with a note.

Dearing, who had been imprisoned for bank robbery in the past, is being held in the Lucas County jail.
