Bond set for man accused of killing Toledoan at car show

    Bond for Byron Mitchell, the 20-year-old man accused of fatally shooting a Toledo man this month, was set at $750,000 Tuesday morning.

    Mr. Mitchell was in Toledo Municipal Court, with his family sitting in the second row, charged with killing Eric Daniels, 40.

    Mr. Daniels was shot around 7:50 p.m. on July 3 at an impromptu car show at Monroe Street and North Detroit Avenue. Mr. Daniels was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where he died from his wounds on July 5.

    A warrant for Mr. Mitchell’s arrest was issued on July 6 and he turned himself into police Monday.
