Burglary defendant gets jail in probation violation

A Toledo man facing charges for impersonating a police officer during a burglary was sentenced to jail Tuesday after admitting he violated community control.

Judge James Bates revoked a three-year community control term for William Crowell, 21, of 2277 Avondale Ave., and sentenced him to 10 months in prison.

Crowell is charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, robbery, and impersonating a peace officer for a June 15 ransacking of a Moran Avenue home. He has an Aug. 17 court date
