FINDLAY -- A Tiffin man charged with killing a Findlay woman was found competent Friday to stand trial in Hancock County Common Pleas Court.

Daniel Bixler, 21, appeared before Judge Reginald Routson, who said that based on two experts' reports, Mr. Bixler is competent to face charges of aggravated murder, two counts of kidnapping, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence.

Mr. Bixler is charged in the March 26 death of Vera Jo Reigle, 24, whose body was found on railroad tracks near the Martin Luther King, Jr., bridge in Findlay. An autopsy showed she died from multiple blunt and sharp trauma wounds. Mr. Bixler, who is being held in the Hancock County jail on $1 million bond, is to be in court again Nov. 18 for a suppression hearing.
