Woman gets 9 months for stealing from step-grandmother
10/6/2011A Toledo woman who was convicted of taking more than $80,000 from her elderly step-grandmother was sentenced in Lucas County Common Pleas Court yesterday to nine months in prison.
Felissa Green, 50, of 3353 Franklin Ave., pleaded no contest in July and was found guilty of theft from the elderly. Authorities said she accessed the accounts of her 89-year-old family member to pay credit card bills, utilities, mortgages, and help a nephew with college tuition. As part of Green’s sentence, Judge Gary Cook ordered that she pay full restitution to the victim’s estate.
