FINDLAY — A Findlay man who started fires at two fast-food restaurants was sentenced Thursday to six years in prison.

Thomas Reese, 25, had pleaded guilty Oct. 20 to two counts of felony vandalism for starting the fires at the Tiffin Avenue locations of Wendy’s and Burger King restaurants overnight on June 6. Hancock County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Niemeyer sentenced him to three years in prison on each count.

Damage to Wendy’s was estimated at $1 million, while damage to Burger King was about $100,000. Reese told the court he was highly intoxicated at the time and remembers little about the incidents.
