The second of two men charged with breaking into a central Toledo home where, days earlier, two people were found shot to death, admitted guilt Tuesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Frank Stewart, 46, of 2264 Auburn Ave. pleaded guilty to burglary and faces up to three years in prison when he is sentenced Jan. 24. A co-defendant, Dontae Elliott, 22, of 3540 Erie St., pleaded guilty Nov. 22 to breaking and entering and faces up to one year in prison when sentenced Jan. 10.

Stewart and Elliott each admitted entering 2226 Sanford St. on Oct. 1, two days after Andrew Baker and Tanja Cathey, both 28, were found shot dead in the home.

A washing machine, dryer, and other items were taken from the house but were left outside the home when the suspects fled.

The slayings remain under investigation.
