A Washington Township man with a long history of public indecency and voyeurism was sentenced in Lucas County Common Pleas Court on Friday to jail and probation.

Steven Warrer, 50, of 6045 Windamar Rd. was sentenced to five years of community control, including six months in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio near Stryker.

Judge Stacy Cook noted that if Warrer violates any terms of his probation, which include undergoing psychological treatment, he would be sent to prison for one year.

Warrer pleaded no contest and was found guilty Nov. 22 to public indecency stemming from a flashing incident in a supermarket. Authorities said he was at the Kroger at 4633 Suder Ave. when he exposed himself to a 17-year-old bagger.

The charge is a fifth-degree felony because Warrer has at least six previous misdemeanor convictions of voyeurism and public indecency dating to 1987.
