Additional charges were filed in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Thursday against a Toledo man awaiting trial for the Oct. 26 shooting-death of a man in his automobile.

Livorio Sandoval, 27, of 2647 Central Ave. was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury on one count each of murder, involuntary manslaughter, trafficking in marijuana, having a weapon while under disability, and tampering with evidence, all with gun specifications. If convicted, he faces life in prison.

Sandoval is charged in the death of Alvaro Vallejo, Jr., 35, who authorities said was found shot dead inside a car at Broadway and Prouty Street. Sandoval was arrested in Texas and extradited to Ohio.

He was initially charged with murder in December on the same case.

His next court date was scheduled for Feb. 29 before Judge Gary Cook.
