Two California men arrested on charges of suspected drug trafficking were indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Friday.

Ming Song Sun, 38, of Oakland, Calif., and Jimmy Yat Man Lau, 38, of Alameda, Calif., were each charged with possession of marijuana and trafficking in marijuana. They are accused of transporting about 100 pounds of hydroponic marijuana along the Ohio Turnpike and face up to 16 years in prison if convicted.

Ohio Highway Patrol troopers said they stopped a commercial semi pulling a box trailer for a marked-lanes violation Feb. 21 on the Ohio Turnpike near Maumee. During a search of the trailer, authorities say, they found nine large boxes of hydroponic marijuana with an estimated value of $500,000.

Both men are being held in the Lucas County jail.
