The last of five men convicted for their roles in a late-night invasion of a West Toledo couple's home in July has been sentenced.

Dwayne Simmons, 19, of 3017 Elm St. was sentenced Wednesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to 12 years in prison.

He had pleaded no contest Jan. 30 to one count each of aggravated burglary and kidnapping. Judge James Jensen found him guilty and ordered Simmons to serve six years on each count, to be served consecutively.

Simmons was with four men who barged into a home in the 4000 block of McGregor Lane July 25 about 1 a.m. and threatened the owners at gunpoint. Authorities said Simmons drove the group to the home and waited for them after they robbed the couple.

Previously sentenced were Michael King, 18, of 303 Majestic, to 16 years in prison on Jan. 11; Bobby Henry, Jr., 18, of 3726 Manhattan Blvd. to 15 years in prison on Feb. 1; Alexander Dawson, 20, to 10 years in prison, on Feb. 1, and Anthony Carsten, 18, of 625 Bronson Ave. to 15 years in prison on Feb. 22.
