A Toledo man charged for his alleged role in a drive-by shooting is being held in the Lucas County jail after a Friday morning arraignment.

Kenneth Awls, 18, is charged with two counts of felonious assault. Toledo Municipal Court Judge Michelle Wagner ordered his bond be set at $150,000 — $75,000 for each charge.

Police allege that Mr. Awls, of 3623 Burton St., drove his car to Palmwood and Forest avenues so that another man, who is unnamed in court documents, could open fire on other individuals.

The court documents state that Mr. Awls knew he was driving to the location so the shooting could occur.

Injured in the central city drive-by on Wednesday evening were Deangelo Parker, 23, and Brandon Clark, 27.

Toledo police said no other arrest warrants have been filed and that the shooting remains under investigation.

Awls is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on March 16.
