BOWLING GREEN — A former ranger for the Wood County Park District was released on his own recognizance Thursday after appearing in Wood County Common Pleas Court on charges he photographed and videotaped women in park restrooms.

John T. Millinger, 26, of Toledo was indicted by a Wood County grand jury last week on 11 counts of voyeurism, three counts of theft in office, and one count of tampering with evidence. Mr. Millinger, who resigned from his job in September, had turned himself in to Wood County sheriff's deputies March 9 and had been held at the county jail ever since.

Wood County Common Pleas Judge Robert Pollex agreed to release him from jail under the conditions he have no contact with any of the victims, that he turn in his passport, that he not use the Internet, and that he use no video recording equipment of any kind. A pretrial hearing is set for May 1.
