A Toledo man charged with shooting his neighbor was indicted this week by a Lucas County grand jury on both felonious assault and attempted murder charges.

James Dunn, 40, of 1060 Blum St. was charged with seven counts of felonious assault and one count of attempt to commit murder, all with gun specifications. Because the charges might be merged if he is convicted, Dunn faces up to 14 years in prison if he's found guilty of the attempted murder charge.

Police say Brandon Braggs, 31, who lives in the same block, was shot multiple times outside Dunn's home, near Forest Avenue, about 12:40 a.m. March 17.

He has since been discharged from St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

Dunn is in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
