Trial date set in stabbing death of Toledo woman

An April 30 trial date was set in Lucas County Common Pleas Court this week for a Toledo man charged with killing his child's mother in a domestic dispute.

Charles Toyer, Jr., 21, of 1527 Western Ave. pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder and voluntary manslaughter. If convicted of murder, he faces up to life in prison. Police say Toyer stabbed Tiffany Wilborn, 23, a mother of two, during a March 11 incident at the Western Avenue address. She died of a stab wound in the chest, authorities said.
