Grand jury indicts man in slaying, injuries to 3

A Toledo man charged with the shooting death of one man and injuring others was indicted Friday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Kevin James, 20, was charged with one count of murder and three counts of felonious assault, each with a gun specification.

James is charged with the March 16 death of Montrese Moore, 19, at the Gas & Go on Cherry Street. Injured during the shooting were Robee Ware, 19, and Creonna Ballard, 18.

Police said someone opened a door of a sport utility vehicle and fired four shots into a group that Moore had approached and told to leave the area..
