Ex-probation supervisor sentenced for road rage

A former Toledo Municipal Court probation supervisor has been sentenced in Perrysburg Municipal Court to probation for seeking out and threatening another driver during a road-rage incident.

Randolph Nelson, 48, of 2833 Sherbrooke Rd. pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of aggravated menacing Thursday and was sentenced to two years' probation, including no contact with the victim and successful completion of an anger management program.

He was also sentenced to 180 days in jail, but the days were suspended.

A review of his probation was scheduled for Sept. 7.

According to the Toledo Municipal Court docket, Judge Amy Berling dismissed a felony case subsequent to his plea.

That case involved allegations that he used his work computer to access personal information about the driver.

Mr. Nelson had been charged with unauthorized use of property for accessing the Law Enforcement Agency Data System, or LEADS, to look up personal information about the Rossford woman.

Authorities said Mr. Nelson used the information to send the woman a threatening letter.
