Suspect in theft of $95,586 in Perrysburg told to avoid schools

A Perrysburg woman charged with stealing nearly $100,000 from three civic organizations was ordered Wednesday to stay away from Perrysburg's four public elementary schools and the travel baseball team she is accused of bilking.

Kiki Lorann, 35, pleaded not guilty to two counts of grand theft and one count of theft in Perrysburg Municipal Court where Judge S. Dwight Osterud continued her $7,500 bond with the condition that she have no contact with the schools and baseball team. Mrs. Lorann, who was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Perrysburg police, posted bond and was released from the Wood County jail about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Lorann is scheduled to appear in court again Friday. She is accused of stealing $48,727 from the Perrysburg Elementary Parents Association, $43,792 from the Toth Parent Club, and $3,067 from Perrysburg Sting Baseball -- organizations for which she served as volunteer treasurer. The theft from the group at Toth Elementary allegedly occurred over the last two years, while the charges involving the travel baseball team and the parents association were more recent, police said.
