A 17-year-old Toledoan charged in a May shooting that killed one man and wounded another was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury on murder and assault charges.

Damar Smith is charged with murder and two counts of felonious assault, both with gun specifications. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.

The teen was certified in Lucas County Juvenile Court June 20 to stand trial as an adult. He is accused of injuring Toledoans Terrance Cohen, 37, and killing Vicktron Moore, 30, during a shooting on Tecumseh Street.

Juvenile Judge Denise Navarre Cubbon ruled evidence presented in court was sufficient to find probable cause that the teen committed the crime. She also ruled the youth should face the felonious assault charges as an adult.
