Suspect in Perrysburg shooting is indicted

BOWLING GREEN -- A Perrysburg man accused of shooting at an occupied car was indicted this week on six charges, including two counts of attempted murder.

John Vandersall, 51, also was indicted on two counts of felonious assault and one count each of improperly discharging a firearm and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. All of the charges carry specifications for firearms, school safety zones, and forfeiture of property.

According to court documents, Mr. Vandersall fired shots Aug. 14 on West South Boundary Street near Mulberry Street at a sport utility vehicle occupied by Joyce Farmer-Schneider and Jack J. Schneider. Perrysburg police said shots hit the SUV's side and back.

His case was assigned to Wood County Common Pleas Judge Robert Pollex.
