Trial starts for man charged with killing mother of his child
9/18/2012The trial for a man charged with killing the mother of his child will start today in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
Charles Toyer, Jr., 21, of 1527 Western Ave. is charged with murder and faces up to life in prison if convicted. A jury of eight women and four men was selected Monday to hear the case. Opening statements and witness testimony is expected to begin today.
Authorities said Toyer stabbed Tiffany Wilborn, 23, a mother of two, during a March 11 incident at the Western Avenue address. She died of a stab wound in the chest, authorities said.
