Three California men are scheduled to be arraigned today in Lucas County Common Pleas Court on drug charges resulting from a stop on the Ohio Turnpike.

Jonathan Soeun, 20, and Da Seth, 25, both of Stockton, Calif., and Walter Rath, 21, of West Sacramento are each charged with possession of marijuana and trafficking in marijuana. If convicted, they each face up to 16 years in prison.

The men are in custody in lieu of $250,000 bonds.

Ohio Highway Patrol troopers said they stopped the men at 8:33 a.m. Sept. 18 for a following-too-close violation and after observing “criminal indicators,” called in a drug-sniffing dog.

Troopers report that they found 65 pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $416,000, hidden inside the car.
