A December trial date was scheduled in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Tuesday for four Toledo men charged with crimes associated with the robbery and fatal shooting of a man at East Toledo’s Ravine Park Village.

Andrew Goetz of 614 Earl St. and Chaz Jackson of 1158 Clark St., both 28, pleaded not guilty to one count each of aggravated murder, murder, and aggravated robbery, all with gun specifications. They are charged in the Oct. 5 robbery and shooting death of Jonathan Morris, 22. If convicted, they face up to life in prison.

Also charged in the case are Jonathon Johnson, 22, of 1657 Vance St., and Leon Jefferson, 28, of 1543 Craigwood Rd., who pleaded not guilty Tuesday to obstructing justice for allegedly interfering with the investigation by giving false information to police.

Judge Frederick McDonald set a Dec. 11 trial date for all four men and continued the $1 million bonds previously set for Mr. Goetz and Mr. Jackson, as well as a $25,000 bond for Mr. Johnson and a $15,000 bond for Mr. Jefferson.
