Three men facing murder and assault charges related to the August shootings of two toddlers in the Moody Manor apartment complex, resulting in a 1-year-old girl’s death, will go to trial Dec. 10.

Keshawn Jennings, 20, of 244 Wasaon St.; James Moore, 20, of 2037 W. Terrace View St., and Antwaine Jones, 19, of 3145 Cottage Ave., each pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to 11 charges. Judge Frederick McDonald set the December trial date and continued a $5 million bond for each.

The men face one count each of aggravated murder, murder, and improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation, two counts each of attempt to commit aggravated murder and attempt to commit murder, and four counts of felonious assault, each with gun specifications. If convicted, they face life in prison.

The charges are the result of an Aug. 9 shooting during which 1-year-old Keondra Hooks was killed and her sister, Leondra, 2, was injured. Two adults and another child were also in the apartment but were not injured.
