The last of four men involved in the armed robbery and carjacking of two women was sentenced Thursday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Tyquandre Carpenter, 19, of 1501 Buckingham St., who pleaded guilty to one count of robbery, was sentenced to four years in prison. He was one of four men arrested for the Aug. 15 robbery of two women at gunpoint in the south end.

He admitted taking personal items from the women after a co-defendant, Wesley Jude, threatened them with a gun. The pair, as well as Christopher Smith and Johnathon Williams, fled in the victims’ car, but were arrested after a chase by police.

Jude, 18, of 1436 Hamilton St., was sentenced Monday to 13 ½ years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery with a gun specification and failure to comply.

Smith, 18, of 852 Colfax St., was sentenced to three years in prison and Williams, 18, of 3413 Gibraltar Heights Dr., to five years of community control, including six months in the Correctional Treatment Facility.
