Jury indicts Perrysburg man over fatal crash
11/10/2012BOWLING GREEN — A Perrysburg man was indicted by a Wood County grand jury this week on charges related to a fatal car crash on Dowling Road.
Justin David Shane, 23, of 10285 Dowling Rd. was indicted on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. The charges stem from an Aug. 29 crash in which Crystal McLaughlin, 31, of Wayne, Ohio, was killed.
State troopers said Mr. Shane was westbound on Dowling Road at a high rate of speed when his car went off the road and struck a tree about 9:50 p.m. He was seriously injured. According to the indictment, Mr. Shane’s driver’s license was under suspension and he had a drunken-driving conviction in 2011.
