Murder trial date reset for Toledo teen

A new trial date has been set in Lucas County Common Pleas Court for a 17-year-old Toledoan charged in the shooting death of another teen in Toledo.

Davion Wilson of 1260 Buckingham St. is charged with one count each of murder, attempt to commit murder, and felonious assault, each with a gun specification, for the Dec. 30 slaying of Deadrick Rocker, 17, and injury to a 16-year-old. They were shot as they left a party at Hoag and Tecumseh streets.

Judge Linda Jennings rescheduled the trial to Feb. 4.

The Wilson youth was 16 at the time of the incident and in February was certified in Juvenile Court to stand trial as an adult.
