A Toledo teen who shot into a Springfield Township apartment, injuring two men, was sentenced in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Monday to 13 years in prison.

Dequan Tatum, 18, of 2822 C St. was sentenced by Judge Ruth Ann Franks to six years on each of two counts of felonious assault, plus a one-year gun specification, all to run consecutively.

Tatum, who was 17 at the time of the shooting and so certified to stand trial as an adult, entered an Alford plea earlier this month. He was found guilty of shooting into an apartment in Oakwood Gardens, 235 N. McCord Rd., where three men were hiding, on Feb. 19.

Monta Wallace, 18, and Jovon Porter, 20, were wounded. The third man was not injured.

A co-defendant, Calvin Gholikely, 20, of 3937 Airport Hwy. was sentenced May 16 to three years in prison for his role.
