Toledoan, 46, accused of lewd acts enters plea

A Toledo man who authorities said committed lewd acts in his vehicle that were witnessed multiple times by a 14-year-old girl entered a plea to a fourth-degree felony this week in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Michael McGurk, 46, of 2919 Oxbridge Drive entered an Alford plea Tuesday to one count of menacing by stalking. He faces up to 18 months in prison and will be labeled a sex offender when sentenced Jan. 29 by Judge Frederick McDonald. In an Alford plea, a defendant maintains innocence or does not admit to committing a crime, but acknowledges evidence is sufficient for a conviction. The court treats it as a guilty plea.
