5 indicted in slaying of Toledo gym owner; 4 in custody, police still seeking 5th

Five men who police believe were involved in the Nov. 19 shooting death of a local gym owner were indicted Friday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Devonte Harris, 19, of 1326 Gordon St., Jason Kuhns, 31, of 1416 Beecham St., Matthew Managhan, 34, of 1156 South Ave., and Chad D. Brown, 35, of 839 Walbridge Ave. were each charged with aggravated murder and aggravated robbery, each with a gun specification.

The men are each in custody in the Lucas County jail.

Also indicted Friday on similar charges was Deitrekk Boone, 19, of the Beecham address. Police continue to search for Mr. Boone, who was not in custody Friday.

The men are charged in the death of Joseph Lengel, Jr., 57, who owned Intensity CrossFit Gym in South Toledo. If convicted, they each face up to life in prison.
