MONROE — A Temperance man was formally arraigned Wednesday in the shooting death early Saturday of a Toledo man outside his home.

Judge Terrene Bronson ordered Thomas Wallace, 32, held without bond in the Monroe County jail after his arraignment on an open murder charge.

Mr. Wallace was arrested after deputies found the body of Ronald Roth, 46, of Kipling Street, lying in the street outside Mr. Wallace’s home in the Inverness Community mobile home park in Bedford Township, just north of the Ohio-Michigan border.

The judge scheduled a pretrial hearing for Jan. 14, with a preliminary exam the next day.
