Ex-radio host Zepeda wants sentence altered

Says it led to job loss for him, 4 others

BOWLING GREEN — Andrew Zepeda, former Star 105 morning host, is asking Wood County Common Pleas Judge Alan Mayberry to modify his sentence, implying it led to his radio show’s cancellation and cost him and four others their jobs.

Zepeda, 43, of Perrysburg was sentenced Dec. 20 to 30 days in jail and was placed on probation for five years for charges relating to a 2010 break-in he orchestrated at the Levis Commons pizzeria he formerly owned. Among the conditions of his probation were that he not consume alcohol or be in any establishment where alcohol is served.

“After the ruling, Mr. Zepeda was terminated from his employment and his show was canceled that employed five people,” his attorney, Beau Harvey, wrote in a court motion asking elimination of the 30-day sentence and modification of the condition prohibiting him from establishments that serve alcohol.
