A Michigan man accused of robbing two Toledo banks was ordered to be held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Richard Dean King, 53, of 13945 Ida Center Rd., Petersburg, is charged with two counts of robbery and was arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court.

Police say Mr. King confessed to robbing the Key Bank at 4106 Talmadge Rd., on Monday, and Fifth Third Bank, 3355 Secor Rd., on Thursday.

In the Thursday robbery, police say a note was passed to a teller that stated, "Robbery LGE bills, no packs," according to an affidavit. The teller opened a cash drawer and said she had no money. The suspect fled and was identified using surveillance video and tips to the detective bureau.

During Monday's robbery, a man passed a note to a teller, demanding cash and claiming to have a gun.

The man was given cash and then fled. Mr. King was found at a Perrysburg hotel, police said.
