A burglary suspect who was shot in the leg by a Perrysburg police officer was indicted this week by a Wood County grand jury on 10 felonies.

James Scott Newman, 39, of Grand Rapids, Mich., was indicted on two counts each of burglary, identity fraud, and disrupting public services, and one count each of safecracking, tampering with evidence, obstructing official business, and possessing criminal tools.

Mr. Newman was shot and wounded in the leg by Perrysburg Sgt. Jack Otte during a search for him as a suspect in a number of break-ins on Jan. 29.
